PFC Kurt A. Schenker
September 10, 1994 – April 4, 2014 Kurt Schenker joined the United States Marine Corps in November of 2013. He was assigned to VMFA – 121, Marine Aircraft Group 13, Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma, AZ.p> He was born and raised in Erie, PA., and graduated from McDowell High School. His mother Corie Davis states that Kurt was a most loving son and brother who loved being with his family. He had many friends including his fellow Marines, and enjoyed spending time with them. He is greatly missed by immediate and extended family as well as all who knew and loved him. Private Kurt was killed in a traffic accident while on active duty at the Marine base where he was stationed in Yuma. A grateful country extends deepest sympathy to the family and friends of this upstanding young man who volunteered to preserve and defend our country. Pfc. Kurt Schenker was 19 years old.
